One of the things that people often with children have trouble with is darkening a room that has lots of light coming in. Now you know we last talked about how traditional blinds compared to blackout blinds just don’t cut it. light will still find its way through the slats because they are spaced too far apart. Now no matter how much you tell the person you ordered teh blinds or shades to space them out, you will just not get it.
So what has to be done to improve things is to get some cellular backout shades or blinds so that they can cover all areas. Something that this is extremely valuable for is when you put the kids to sleep for an afternoon nap. If they can’t see light then its perfect for them to sleep.
The other great part about the cellular blinds is that they can actually save you money. Its the way they are made that actually wards off rays from the sun. At least 75 dollars in most cases if you have a double sized window opening that is covered in at least 3 areas.
So don’t you think its worth the investment? Of course it is. Now something else of concern that we want to mention is the fact that these blackout shades are not as strong as you might think when it comes to the material. So its best to let someone else install them so you don’t actualy tear the edges. Especially since they have to be clipped into the upper edge of your window openings. If you get a large blackout shade you will also notice that if you do not secure it enough that it can bend from the middle. All because the fabric is heavy and the metal rail that is the head of the blind can at many times bend if it has too much weight or pressure in the middle.
So if you are going the blackout shades route, just go ahead and let the specialist do it. Why cost yourself uneeded troubles?
